How to download and install the flight data / KML (GPS) merge utility

Start the 'Flight Data Viewer' application as you normally would.
Verify that you are using version 2.32 or later. To check: from the menu select 'Help', 'About'
Open the folder where you will save the utility.

From the menu
Select ‘Help’
Select ‘View Application Trace Logs...’
Select ‘View Program Folder’
Keep this File Explorer window open as you perform the following steps

Close the 'Flight Data Viewer' application.
Download the merge utility with this link
After your browser has downloaded the MergeKMLFile.exe file to a temporary folder move the file to the folder you opened in the steps above.
Optional, but recommended. Create a shortcut to the KML merge tool on your desktop.

Right click the MergeKMLFile.exe file
Select ‘Create shortcut’
You should be prompted to create the shortcut on the desktop. If so respond with 'Yes'.
The shortcut will display a purple flag and be named 'MergeKMLFile.exe - Shortcut'.
