I'm using Windows 10 and when I attempt to install the 'Flight Data Viewer' I see a message stating 'This setup requires the .NET Framework version 2.0.50727 ...' How do I resolve this problem?

If you use Windows 10 you may see this message when you run the 'Flight Data Viewer' installation package.

.NET Framework not installed

To install the .NET Framework follow these steps:
  • On your keyboard hold down the 'Windows' key and press R.         This will launch a run box.
Run appwiz.cpl
  • Type appwiz.cpl into the run box and press the Enter key.         This will launch the 'Programs and Features' applet.
Run appwiz.cpl
  • Click 'Turn Windows features on or off'         This will launch the 'Windows Features' applet.

Run appwiz.cpl
  • Check the '.NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0' option so that the box is filled in as shown.        The other two boxes do not need to be selected.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation and then make sure to restart the computer (if prompted).
